The 3670 is a manual 5KV AC, 6KV DC Hipot with a built-in Insulation Resistance Tester. The 3670 features an enhanced graphic LCD and can be used as a bench-top instrument or controlled through enhanced PLC Remote Control. It can also be interconnected to the HYAMP® III family of Ground Bond testers to form a complete test system that will perform AC/DC/IR Hipot and Ground Bond tests in a single DUT connection. It provides a simplified interface and the latest in technology & safety features. It is a perfect solution for entry level AC/DC/IR Hipot testing applications.
Additional features:
SmartGFI® - The patented SmartGFI is a high speed shut down circuit that provides maximum operator protection. If the circuit detects excessive leakage to ground it shuts down the high voltage in less than 1 millisecond. SmartGFI is automatically activated if the DUT is not grounded. The operator does not need to make the decision whether to activate the SmartGFI.
Digitaly Controlled ARC Detection - The ability of a circuit to detect the short duration current spikes normally in the range of 10 microseconds which have peak amplitudes in the milliamp range. These high frequency spikes normally appear on the peaks of the output wave prior to catastrophic or destructive arc breakdown which result in complete failure of the insulation.
CAL-ALERT® - The patented CAL-ALERT feature automatically alerts the user when the instrument is due for re-calibration. This eliminates the need for manual tracking of calibration dates.
VERI-CHEK® - The VERI-CHEK feature is a menu driven process by which the instrument's failure detectors are proven to be functioning properly, "verifying" the functionality of the electrical safety tester and connected accessories.
